I just logged onto my blog about to create a new post and the first thing that poped up is a screen full of comments which asks me to accept or reject all and publish the ones i want to. Everyone, this must be one of the new features of the new blogger, had no idea you guys had been commenting on my posts. It seems the comments screen shows up when i'm ready to create a new post. You guys will have to show me how to allow posts to show automatically on my blog. Thanks for all your comments, sorry for not replying to all of them, you guys know i have love for you all and i have been keeping up with your progresses. For those who missed me, i missed you even more.

Well, i was tagged by Cashana back in June, and i have to share 7 things about myself that you don't already know.

1. You haven't heard from me in the past several months because i've been busy with life, my 9 year old son and my pregnancy, see a pic of me and how i've enlarged, from my lip to my nose to my body. Can't wait to shed off all this weight.

2. I am 8 months pregnant, expecting another boy, can't wait to meet him and welcome him to the world.

3. I've been an only child all my life, so was my mom. This is why earlier on in life, i always knew i wanted more than 1 kid, it's lonely being an only child, although i must admit it has its benefits.

4. June 2 of this year I celebrated my 1 year lockversay, loving sisterlocks even more and still getting stopped for questions and compliments.

okay, i'm running out of facts about myself...

5. I'm planning on moving out of New York within the next year, going to either Fort Myers or Georgia, weighing the pros and cons of each to make final decision.

6. My favorite kind of music is Zouk (challenge for those of you who don't know to find out what kind of music that is)

7. I hate, absolutely abhor seeing young boys and man with their pants hanging all the way down showing off their underwear. Some people think it's racial profiling, i actually support a law that bans that foolishness, i'm about to have 2 boys and i will have a heart attack if any of them were to come in my house wearing their pants down, although to be honest with you i don't think that will ever happen. My son knows how i feel about that, the N word and wearing durags in public.

by Ayankha, so i must share with you 5 things about myself that you don't already know. Believe it or not, it took me several days to think about this and come up with something, so here it goes.

1. For the past 12 years, i've been an avid attendee at Alvin Ailey performances. I love the shows so much that anyone who knows me intimately know this is a good gift for the holiday seasons. I've even started taking my mom and son the past 4 years.

2. In elementary school, i was thought to be a bully because of my no-nonsense attitude and not taking bs from other students. Although i never terrorized anyone, students used to come to me to deal with kids that would bother them or take items from them, knowing i'd seek justice on their behalf. Ironically, i've grown into an adult who's very much into civil rights, at one point i wanted to be a civil rights attorney, but that's changed, not because the desire isn't there anymore, just that sadly, some priorities have shifted.

3. My mother had me at the age of 16. For most of my life, people always thought she was my older sister, at 49, she looks better than ever. She loves traveling around the world, shopping (she's a sucker for designer bags), working out and she aspires to one day be a business owner (i sense that day coming around pretty soon).

4. I came to the US at the age of 13. Growing up in Haiti, I had the impression that NY was filled with assassins roaming the streets, thus when i first moved here, i wanted to relocate to Canada instead.

I had another retightening again last night, this was after 10 months, the longest i've ever gone. Spent about 7 hours doing my hair, thank God i have a great consultant, makes the time more enjoyable as we always have something to talk about. Thought i'd share more retightening pics with ya'll.

Random pictures from my last retightening, exactly 9 weeks ago. I need a fix up badly, my consultant has been away on vacation, i really need to take that course to learn to do my hair myself. I dread our next appointment, i'm sure that will take at least 7 hours.

I'm taking note of all the different syling options, rollersets, caruso's, bantu's, Brunsli's hair ties, etc., My next venture are the caruso's. Last night i tried a simple rollerset with the soft sponges, think i'll also try Golden_08 perm rod look. So many options, this is what i love about SL's. I have to admit though, I love this lenght, it's so easy to manage. When I first started my SL's I freestyled all the time, now i'm becoming addicted to styling.

Hello everyone, I'm back and wanted to post the different angle pictures I promised. As you will see from the pics, I'm still enjoying my SL's to the fullest extent. I've learned from my last retightening that I can't go 6 weeks or more, at least not until they're locked. I've noticed minor slippage in 1 or 2 but nothing major. Enjoy the pics! Till next time!

I have not posted in three months, but i've had my sisterlocks now for a little over 3 months. I still love them, i still enjoy them and still get curious looks and questions about them. I've pretty much free styled and haven't tried out any of the other tricks such as carusso and the likes.

Aside from this, nothing new has happened in my life, I'm still single, still taking care of K J, but living a more peaceful, more serene life. Will try to post some more pics at different angles to give you a better view of my sl and their progress thus far.

There seems to be an epidemic with men right about now, or at least the men i know. They all seem to be misbehaving and my girlfriends are going through a frenzy. Cheating, lying, you name it. Is it true what they say about men misbehaving when the nice weather approaches? Truth be told, i have my solitary moments as a single, but as i see my girls going through all the turmoil they're going through, i welcome my singleness and await the right men that won't put me through all this headache.

This past week-end I had my Sisterlocks put in. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am. Like many other bloggers have said, I wished I had done this a long time ago. They are so versatile. It's been almost a week and I've created so many different styles already. We started on Friday afternoon around 4:30pm, worked for about 7 hours, then another 7 hours on Saturday and 7 more hours on Sunday. I can't begin to tell you how tired both Iverline (my consultant) and I were at the end. But I was elated. She was happy to see me so satisfied as well. My hair is so beautiful. I get stares on the train, people wonder what this is i have in my hair. Wow! So as i begin to exchange my pics with you, I hope you'll enjoy watching them as much as i enjoy wearing these beautiful sisterlocks. I'll also keep posting more recent pictures with my different styles. It is so important to choose a consultant that you click with because you'll spend so much time with that person. Enjoy!

I'm back. had a wonderful week-end in Fort Myers. It feels so good to travel. Hope you guys will be headed to Dance Africa this week-end in Brooklyn. lots of fun people and fun stuff. You guys i'm so excited. I'm scheduled to have my sl's on June 2, I just can't wait. You know, i heard somewhere that they do them better in Jamaica, i thought about that for a while, even contemplated buying a ticket and going there to start off. Is that crazy?

I paid a heck of a lot of money on shipping, thought if i bought all the books from one seller (greatbuy books), they'd go easy on the shipping, couldn't have been more wrong. But the books were cheap (in most cases less than a dollar) but in good condition.

Well, thanks for visiting my little corner on the net. The theme of my blog is tryin', tryin' to live, tryin' to love (or win at this love thing), tryin' to be a good mama to my 8 year old darlin' son, tryin' to make a name for myself, tryin' to stay away from lethal man, tryin, tryin, tryin. I hope that those of you who visit my blog will not hesitate to leave comments or make suggestions on anything i post. A little about me (for those of you who don't know me) I'm originally of Caribbean descent, but living in the US for the past 20 years, i've managed (yey!) to finally get my undergraduate degree in Health, still tryin' to pursue a nursing degree. I have a beautiful 8 year old son, a lovely mother, some wonderful friends and a decent job. Right now, tryin' to save some money to move to ATL (some day). Next month i have an appointment to have some sisterlocks done on my hair, really looking forward to that.
